The Cambridge and South Cambs Energy for Good scheme was launched to encourage the uptake of energy efficiency measures and renewable energy technologies by households and organisations in the area. Our dedicated and experienced project team offered free technical advice and assistance with procuring low-energy systems. We provided our own grants through the city and district councils, as well as facilitated access to other grants, subsidies and discounts.

The scheme was publicly launched on 2 December 2005 by the Mayor of Cambridge, John Hipkin, and Lady Mary Archer, who stated their strong support of the scheme. Over the 2-year running period we organised a number of information and awareness-raising events, improved the supply chain by working with suppliers and installers, and liaised with all local stakeholder groups.
